On 1st day of Semptember 1939, German Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine attacked Poland, although Hitler didn't declare war officially. The Poles fought desperately, but they had no chance to defend the country against a much larger German army. On 17th September, the Soviets attacked form the East. The September Campaign ended on 5th October 1939.
However, the fall of Poland helped the Allies. Thousands of refugees aided the Allied armies. Primarily in France, then in England. Many pilots gained valuable experience when fighting in obsolete gull-wing fighters and fighter-bombers. They were the most effective formation of the Polish army in 1939. Not a year later, 141 Polish poilots defended England along with the British and the pilots from the Commonwealth.
But it's the middle of September 1939 and the Polish still remain in their homeland. Here you can see one of the most characteristic Polish airplanes the PZL P.23B "Karaś" ("Crucian"). They were well-designed and efficient fighter-bombers that even performed air raids on German territory. The two presented here belong to the 41st Line Squadron.

MI sie wydają takei troche... "pulchniutkie" te samolociki takie byly? xD
Rysunek naprawdę mi sie podoba ale te niebo zrobione tan na odwal sie troche psuje efekt :<
The only thing I see wrong with the pic is the bf-109 thats in the back (furthest aircraft). The tail looks like its at a completely different angle than the rest of the aircraft; other than that, nice work
