Description
A view from the naval battle of Tsushima, which took place on May 27th 1905. I wanted to portray one of my favourite battleship classes, the Russian Borodino/Knyaz Suvorov. I drew completely from memory, so there are mistakes (lack of some features on masts, which are more French than Russian, and lack of tiny sponsons on the prow). I pray for your forgiveness, because I wanted to capture a certain feeling and composition.

Russians fought bravely, I truly respect them. Too bad for them, their commander, admiral Zinoviy Rozhestwenskiy betrayed them, his country and his Emperor.
